4 stars I can say countless things about the first albun "One Piece Puzzle" of the Italian band PROFUSION, except which their music are monotonous and previsible... on the contrary, they are very creative and the arrangements and musical theme sequences in a single track are very unusual , but not seems as a "Frankstein face", this apparently "disconnected" themes making in the totality of the track a complete and organized "Puzzle" The disk is really ecletic, including various "streams" of progressive music, such as in the track 1 "Atomi Liberi " (symphonic prog), in the track 3 "Profusion" with a "smashing" jazz-rock overture and main theme , the track "... And See" wich with a balladf/olk favour and the heavy prog sequence which starts to 3 min and 05 sec, the track 6 "J.C. Maxwel" with mix prog- metal and symphonic-prog ( one of the best moments of the whole albun), ther track 7 "Adiev" with a keyboard and guitar solo in the Caribbean"s style. My rate is 4 stars !!! ...

4 stars Profusion from Italy is one of the most consistent and intresting bands in last years in prog world. Releasing their first opus in 2006 named One piece puzzle, this album offers a lot. The musicians play with an amazing ease, I mean the instrumental passages are excellent, with complex passages, nice flute breaks here and there and some very worthy keybords and guitar arrangements overall. The voice is pretty much ok most of the time, even is not spectacular the vocal parts are enjoyble. What I like very much is that the instrumental sections are very complex and very tight, going from prog metal with jazz fusion elements like an ex on the best piece of the album J.C. Maxwell, the first 4 min of the piece are killer, stunning performance from the musicians to a more eclectic side of prog with slightly prog metal elements interluded, very much sounde like a cross between band ACT and another italian prog band Lie Tears. Creative arrangemnts, competent musicians, a really shing star in modern prog music and a damn fine debute album. Recommended for sure to anyone intrested to discover fresh new bands from prog music. 4 stars easy, all pieces are strong , no weak moments only highlights.
