3 stars This debut effort by French act maybe took it's time being made, seeing as the band started out back in the second half of the 70's.

Maybe excel in delivering long instrumental passages, where the guitars switch back and forth between riff patterns, wandering undistorted passages and soloing - with bass and drums providing a distinct and subtly evolving backdrop.

The keys do add some extra elements, but the spoken voice and especially the theatrical, semi-operatic backing vocals of Capdevielle is an aquired taste.

For those who enjoy the vocals this will be an enticing visit to a modernized variety of the long, instrumental wanderings many acts enjoyed serving in the 70's - think a symphonic tinged Wishbone Ash as far as sound goes and you'll be close.
