Great Performance but Awful Sound!

This performance features the 71-72 line up, every song here contains some minutes of worthy and very interesting improvisation...the songs here have a powerful interludes with jazzy taste, some of these are a bit long than the studio versions.

First, the performance begins with Pictures of a City from their second album the first ten seconds sounds horrible the mix sound here is just bad, but after few seconds the sound is good not excellent but good in this one the impovisation is very interesting and really amazing good version, after this one there are few words by Boz or Fripp I didnt recognize their voices sorry... After this one we have Cadence and Cascade from their second album too, this version is good ,the vocals are good and the improvisation here is interesting..no more... by the way the sound here is awful.

Groon the B-Side from Cat food single is an extended version featuring a drum solo by Ian Wallace this track contains a nice improvisation after this one. Then comes 21th Century... this version has been featured in some concerts of this line up, I really dislike this version a bit, because its very slow at the 2 first minute, the vocals featuring Boz Burrel are good and very powerful after the first 2 verses we have a little interlude (improvisation) with jazzy sax and powerful drums, the bass and guitar have good moments. After the first 4 tracks we can hear the introduction to the band is a funny break.

And lets go, after this little break, the next track is Earthbound wow this track is nice and contains an amazing improvisation I really liked this one. ohh another funny moment comes in the next track?! track? well im not sure the name of this one is too obvious "King Crimson Experiment" but wait this one is not a weird improvisation or perhaps yes, but featuring weird vocals tones I really dont know where it comes from, in nice way its funny. And the final track is The Sailors Tales this one is a cool track with jazzy taste on it.. Good performance and...wait a minute it includes a bonus track called Here comes the Flood" wow that sounds like Peter Gabriel Song and of course it is. This bonus track features Fripp in the guitar but im not sure if all the KC line up is present playing the song, this track is a good performance of Mr. Gabriel.

Overall this album is a great add if you like the 71-72 line up and I recommend this album if you dont care about the sound, its not bad at all. The performance is very entertaining but the sound is awful. 3 starts this time.

This is quite obviously a bootleg, and a poor one at that. This session is available from the KCCC as Live At Summit Studios 1972. Don't you just hate how bootlegs always have corny, forced, naff titles based on known pieces by the same artist. I suggest that this CD is removed from the site and consigned to the dumpster where it belongs, before RF finds out.

The bonus track is utterly unrelated to the main contents which make the provenance of this disc even more dubious. Everything you would ever need by King Crimson is legitimately available from DGM, there is absolutely no need for this CD whatsoever.
