4 stars I, personally, I had to sweat to be able to get your hands on this CD. CD which I found very interesting. CD that is not personal but interesting, I repeat, because this time Sinesthesia compound Dream Theater and the various side projects to the Power Prog Metal in general.

Problem of "The Day After Flower" is being too static in the sense that, apart from a very "Vangelis" in "The Birth, The Death, Trance By The River" is a CD too compressed, like sound and ideas (from dizziness, however, the extraordinary [masterpiece of the album] "Hero", so DT). The debut album was, in fact, more airy, less hot, less "modern" and more personal. Here, while Eldritch bride DT is true, also, that a singer as DT does not help. And yet, I found "The Day After Flower" a good album. Not a masterpiece, an album not resting on their laurels. Has to be said. Minimally Labyrinth also would like to join in this album. They get involved Lacuna Coil, which is not bad. But it complicates things if you are not Prog metallers, as it makes it all too Dark.

Is illogical to expect that Sinestesia be a band is 100% original. The guitar solo in "Burning Times" is a duel with the synth sounds to me that 100% of Eldritch, a song very dry and very airy, great DT song, in fact, quite appropriate for a rainy day like this. Personally I'd like the evolution of Synesthesia we give birth to a band close Elegy and Dream Child o Dyslesia, without denying an album like this or debut album.

Ultimately, I find "The Day After Flower" a great album, worthy to remain in the hearts of Prog metallers. But lower than the debut album, more to band evolution that for other reasons. But it is equally true that if the albums that leave a bitter taste in the mouth were all so close to perfection we always masterpieces.
