1 stars Song of Albion is another of the Phrozenlight albums that seems to be a dud, unfortunately. All three tracks are nearly the same indistinguishable drone, full of airy and windy effects and completely lacking progression. As with the releases before that sound exactly like this one, this albums would've been fine if the tracks had some sort of progression through their nearly-20-minute run-times. Even if the airy drones weren't so overbearing and ear- piercing, and gave way to more textural sounds during at least a few portions of each of the tracks, this album would be much better.

I always feel the need, on these not-so-great albums, that an artist who records this much is destined to release a few sub-par albums. The sound on this album isn't constant throughout other albums, and some of Phrozenlight's material is quite good. Song of Albion, however, is unsatisfying.
