4 stars This looks to be the last full album from this band, but of course you never can tell. Bands have been known to have more than a 7-year hiatus between releases. Well, I'd say if you're going to get any of their releases, this should be it! They sound a bit different here, perhaps mellowed a bit, not so angry. I hear more influences too, not just Drop D Tool-like stuff. I wonder if Boy In The Attic was inspired by Slint - it sounds that way to me! And I'd say that's a good thing.

There is even nylon string guitar and piano on one track - Anthem for a Butterfly. The dynamic variety helps to make this a bit more proggy than the previous metal assaults, which might be what you're looking for - in which case part 4 might be your best bet. This one still sounds like it was made by a metal band, but one showing some more restraint and artistic tendencies than previously. You still get plenty of the heavy stuff too, don't worry.
