1 stars This is the kind of release that has commercial intent at the highest level and music interest way behind! This 5CD boxset is really embarassing, even for completists and here's why:

Disc 1: Most of the tracks are taken from the Santa Monica live show, released on Glasshouse Records by the band! A few excerpts are stolen from the boxset "Scraping the Barrel". I did only find ONE track of the tune Free Hand, from California 1975, which I couldn't trace elsewhere ... but it may be existing too, I didn't research thoroughly!

Disc 2: the entire CD is made of the "Pinewood Tour Rehearsals", already included on the data CD of "Scraping the Barrel". And there was a reason to release it on a data CD, not trying to cheat people that this is a GREAT quality found .... so much for EMI's greed!

Disc 3: except the two excerpts of "Betcha Thought We ...", ALL the rest is either coming from the live CD "Missing Face" (Glasshouse again but this time the ENTIRE CD!!) or "Scraping the Barrel".

Disc 4: the entire content is taken from the CD+DVD "GG at the GG" !!

And here we are: disc 5 - minus two tracks stolen (again) from the data CD of "Scraping the Barrel" - IS the only real unreleased stuff, a concert from 1980 in New Haven, Connecticut!

Hurrah for EMI cowardness and stay away from this artifact! Get instead the 4CD "Scraping the Barrel", made by the band for the fans! This one stinks and tries to rip you off without saying it directly! Even if the price is low, it is a high price to pay for just ONE live show from the end of a carreer!!
