3 stars Kraan's strengh was always playing live hence the many available live cd's. This one was not an official release, but a bootleg. It was only available for a very short period, before the original record company asked for it to be pulled out of circulation. In that little window of time I was able to scoop up a copy. On the the box it says, that this recording was made with a Sennheiser Kunstkopf stereo system.I have no idea what that is,but it does say it is good for headphone listening. And indeed it is,but you still hear it is a boot.So it is for diehards only.

Kraan is here very playful and excellent as always.Lots of room for improvisation and soloing.

If you wanna get a Kraan live album, I suggest you get their first one. That one concentrates on their first 3 records. Tournee is also excellent (Which followed Wiederhoren, which is my favorite Kraan ,from where we 3 tracks). On that you get ,I believe,3 unreleased songs that are great. One of those is the song Almrausch which on Tounee is 6 min.On Live in Copenhagen they manage to make it last 17 min. Full tilt.

Kraan is a very unique band that I have been fond of 30 years. They are a Kraut band that touches Jazzy, fusion ,rock and and other twists and turns.Nobody sounds like them at all.Give the MP3 a listen ,which you can here at ProgArchives and hear for yourself.

4* performance ,but I give this one 3,because of the sound quality.
