4 stars I must admit I'd forgotten about this offshoot and was only drawn back to their attention by the other incarnation of KARNATAKA - ILLUMINAE and so thence back to CHASING THE MONSOON...

Listed as world music with references to DEEP FOREST and ENIGMA; in part I do tend to agree with this analogy however, and herein lies the crux - it is also KARNATAKA in disguise...

I have found this to be an enjoyable romp and a welcome return of Lisa Fury on vocals. Is this a return to the original KARNATAKA? In short, yes. But it has developed and in doing so it references the familiar chord sequences and song construction so that the listener is left in no doubt that the influence of KARNATAKA (or more accurately Ian Jones) is very much prevalent.

Ethereal chords, soaring guitars abound throughout with the overriding temptation of turning up the volume just a bit more so as to become to be totally immersed.

I have been more than happy to add this album to the previous KARNATAKA albums and listen accordingly.

As previously mentioned by others in reference to KARNATAKA, this is not prog but more of the folk celtic fare. Still a very enjoyable romp...
