4 stars What a vivacious and enchanting gig through the album. Wish I had attended as the audience, let me say.

A German rock act PLANISPHERE were founded in 2010 by four good musician mates in Cologne ... in their latest album "Live In Speyer" released in July 2020 they play as a 'perfect' quartet. Quite cool and sweet they could launch such a flavourful, fruity, focused sound universe. Like an authentic post-rock outfit, they create really fuzzy, garagey soundscape along with repetitive phrases, simple (but not monotonous) melody lines, and strict rhythmic basements. That's true but you can find more of their pleasure and full satisfaction via the stuff. Their brilliant play says they look toward the audience. Namely, you can definitely hear sorta unification with the audience and the overall atmosphere in the venue.

Yes, not simply shoegaze nor drone appearance but powerful, impressive situation should be created via full of their passion. And awesome is aggressive rhythmic foundation with enthusiastic uptempo circumstance, whilst sound / melody lines can be frequently more and more shifted than expected. Innovative spacey essence with psychedelic mosaics all around the live album would be their intention too. You can notice hopeful and promising future deeply into their passion play. A dramatic theatrical hour obviously.
