5 stars Now, at the end of this strange 2020, Zappi W Diermaier reinvents himself and presents his first personal project outside of Faust and does so under the umbrella of the Galician label áMARXE Música. Monobeat Original, which is the name of this new impulse, presents in its first work entitled "Arbeitstitel", an orgiastic party of rhythms that go from the tribal to the post-industrial, almost without solution of continuity, punctuated by effects and atmospheres of different nebulous density . His natural irreverence remains active and militant in a utopian transgression so necessary in these days of physical and mental "stagnation". Perhaps it is one of the most complex and brutal works of his entire career (I include Faust), with that air between the burlesque and the transcendent, which destroys the aesthetic conventions of contemporary music in its path, allying itself with atavistic rhythms, so primitive, essential. and obsessive that seem to be taken from a powerful synthesizer with an archaic operating system, or specific sounds, soundscapes and much, much improvisation and freedom. A fascinating world of archaic musicality, fantasies of the past that take us to the distant future. An accurate impact on the waterline of modern music.

Zappi W. Diermaier - Drums, keyboards, percussion, psaltery / Elke Drapatz - Drumeffects / Amaury Cambuzat - Guitar/ Uwe Bastiansen - Guitar / Dirk Dresselhaus - Guitar
