Some time after Moai was first released on the Digitalis EP, I came across my original demo for the track. I was surprised by how electronic and dubby it sounded, and was inspired to explore that direction further. New sections and guitar parts then suggested themselves, giving this piece it's own distinct musical personality.
After much burning of the midnight lamp here at Head Spin Central this is what finally emerged. This version is not intended to replace the original, but offers a very different take on the track. Think of it as a companion piece: Moai in an alternative musical universe. Moai Re-imagined.
