IN EACH HAND A CUTLASS or shortened IEHAC are an instrumental group from Singapore playing a mix of ambient and metal elements into an interesting blend of post rock and metal. The group currently features Daniel SASSON and Amanda LING from grunge band ELECTRICO, Nelson TAN, Sujin THOMAS and Jordan CHENG. Proclaiming themselves as sonic pirates, they aim to create both uplifting and aggressive atmospheres in their music, leaving their listeners out of breath. They started with their musical journey in 2011 when they released their debut album which was produced by their former guitarist Roland LIM and mixed and mastered by the notable Jens BOGREN who is known for his work on albums by OPETH, DEVIN TOWNSEND, KATATONIA, SYMPHONY X, DIR EN GREY and many others. Since then they released another album, won several independent music awards and played high profile shows around Singapore, continuing to follow their motto that 'In Each Hand A Cutlass' is not a band with a fancy name, but a statement of intent.
