Haar biography
Haar was formed in 2008 with the ambition to create challenging and idiosyncratic black metal. Our sound is defined by a generous measure of dissonance, a progressive approach to songwriting and a palette of sounds that includes death and doom metal influences. Lyrical subject matter is typically rooted in a study of Ontology and human nature.

The first EP, released in May 2010, was well received by both the metal press and fans. This has lead to the band playing with bands such as NEGURA BUNGET, WINTERFYLLETH, ALTAR OF PLAGUES, AURA NOIR, WODENSTHRONE and A FOREST OF STARS. The follow up to the first EP was originally self-released in July 2012 in limited quantities. It was re-released on Todestrieb records in Nov 2012.Since then they have recorded an hour-long debut album that is being released by the Italian label ATMF.The album's name is "The Wayward Ceremony".
