Althea biography
Founded in Milan, Italy in 1998

The band was formed in Milan by guitarist Dario BORTOT and bassist Fabrizio ZILIO. They started to produce demo tapes while playing live in northern Italy. They recorded and composed new songs which led to the "Eleven" EP, released in 2014. In 2016, the band released a full-length concept album "Memories Have No Name" where the music combines Prog Metal, Rock and experimental ambient sections. They have just released a new album "The Art of Trees" in 2019. The music has some influences from PORCUPINE TREE, DREAM THEATER, and some prog rock bands that can craft strong melodies.
