Snake Oil biography
Founded 2011 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA

SNAKE OIL is a psychedelic unit, not to be confused with an eponymous disbanded RIO/Avant outfit from France. The band was established by drummer Jason Labbe and began as a collective of over a dozen musicians, with an output of two albums and one EP. They were living all over the country, used home recording technologies and file sharing to collaborate.

Since 2019 SNAKE OIL is comprised of Jason Labbe, Emily Lee (keyboards, vocals), Kelly L'Heureux (guitars, vocals) as well as Adrian Van De Graaff (bass). This formation recorded the highly acclaimed album 'Dying Of Sunsets'. Their vocally driven arrangements act as compliment and counterpoint to the fuzzy psychedelic instrumentals, also drawing on influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Bitches Brew.
