Excessive Visage biography
EXCESSIVE VISAGE was formed in Dresden, Germany in 2009 by guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Torsten Lang, vocalist Larissa Blau, bassist Simon Preuss, keyboardist Albrecht Schumann, and drummer Christoph Dehne. The band blends a unique style that employs an energy and atmosphere reminiscent of 1980's underground new wave and post-punk, often starting in familiar places but eventually venturing into the unexpected. Few genres are avoided as EXCESSIVE VISAGE infuses their music with everything from 60's psychedelia to reggae, to avant-garde experimentation, all fused together with unorthodox rhythmic sinews.

They released their debut, self-titled album in early 2011, followed by the live, "HFBK Sessions" in 2012. The bands lineup would change as 2014's release, "Ruckus Array" would be the last studio recording featuring Albrecht Schumann on keyboards. The remaining lineup released "You Are Lost Anyway" in 2017. They would be joined by
keyboardist Rieko Okuda after the recording of "You Are Lost Anyway". Simon Preuss would eventually be replaced on bass by Rafael Espinoza.
