Moonwood biography
MOONWOOD is a psychedelic space rock group from Toronto, Ontario led by Jakob REHLINGER. Originally it started out as a solo project by REHLINGER or under his alias REVEREND MOON where he would play acid folk music with ezoteric and pagan themes which evolved into longer progressive drones that eventually picked up many more influences, ranging from cosmic space rock to native indian music. During the early years REHLINGER also released music under the name BABEL which was genre-wise sometimes interchangeable with MOONWOOD, but around 2012 MOONWOOD became a duo along with singer Jacqueline NOIRE and became much more influenced by the folk based krautrock of the classic era. Year later the project transitioned into a full fledged space rock group with the addition of Luca CAPONE and Matthew FAVA, with a much more electric motorik sound based more on cosmic music than psychedelic folk of the past.

Though it is allegedly in their plan to return more to their acid folk roots, MOONWOOD's eclectic discography should have something for everyone interested in psychedelic krautrock, from AMON DULL II inspired jams in their earlier years to mechanical sound of NEU! for example in their later years.
