Inistekar biography
INISTEKAR is a Francofone band founded sometime around the turn of the 21st century and calls Quebec, Canada their home. The band consists of Sylvain LEBLANC (bass, vocal, violin), Pierre DONCKERWOLCKE (drums, percussion, vocals, flute); Jean-Claude ROY (guitar, vocals, mandolin); Martine AUGER (vocals) and Elisabeth BLIER (vocals).

All of the lyrics are in French and are sung mostly in harmonic layers. The music ranges from a heavy, guitar heavy sound similar to KING CRIMSON or even venturing into Progressive Metal territory at times, to a softer, more folk-like sound with strings and such, even reminding the listener of GENTLE GIANT with a lilt similar to JETHRO TULL. Through it all is a nice progressive sound that generates some complex compositions that tie everything together in a sound that is unique to the band.
