Oximora biography
XIMORA is a Heavy Prog band from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, formed in late 2011 by Leo PINA (bass) and Hebert BRAVO (guitar). Soon, three other musicians joined the band expanding to a quintet that included Pablo Huerta de los SANTOS (drums), Alfredo MARTINEZ (keyboards and synthesizers), and Marisol GOMEZ (vocals). The band then released a debut in 2013 and began touring throughout Mexico.

The bands debut full-length album "Espejo" was released in 2016. It is a double album consisting of 11 tracks composed mostly by PINA and BRAVO. After the release of the album, the band continued to tour playing in several popular festivals throughout Mexico. When GOMEZ left the band in 2018, the band searched for a new vocalist and found her in Susana PANTOJA.

The band continues to tour and is currently working on a new album with recording to start in March of 2020. Their music is a hard-rock sound based on blues with a mix of Latin American music that infuses huapango, bossa nova, and danzon with hints of jazz and funk mixed in.

Their influences are cited as YES, TOOL, DREAM THEATER, and PORUPINE TREE as well as Mexican artists like SANTA SABINA, CAIFANES, LA BARRANCA, CHAC MOOL and others.
