Scarlet Stories biography
SCARLET STORIES is a Progressive Metal Dutch band from the Netherlands that got their start in 2010. Originally, the band consisted of the duo of Bram TE KAMP (guitars) and Lisette VAN DEN BERG (vocals) who would write and perform melancholic, acoustic songs influenced by progressive metal. They released their debut, self-titled EP in 2013 EP.

Soon, the duo decided to expand into a full-fledged band and brought in Carmen RAATS (guitar), Maarten GRIMM (bass), Sophie ANSEMS (violin, backing vocals), and Tim KUPER (drums). They released their 2nd EP in 2015, and after opening for several bands, they released their first full-length album in 2019/20.

Their music is a dynamic progressive metal that bends the boundaries between Heavy Prog and Progressive Metal, ranging from melancholic melodies to powerful and intense anthems which display a deep, passionate style, not unlike ANATHEMA, LEPROUS, OCEANS OF SLUMBER, AVATARIUM, Chelsea WOLFE, THE GATHERING, HALESTORM, and etc.
