Bränd Jord biography
Bränd Jord (Swedish for Scorched Earth) are a progressive black metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Consistent since their formation in 2012, the lineup features guitarist/vocalist Jens Kjerrström (of deathgrind outfit Obligatorisk Tortyr and formerly of thrash metal band Brutaliator), bassist Anders Thorén and drummer Fredrik Helgesson (of death metal ensemble Tehom and formerly of Obligatorisk Tortyr). The unsigned band self-released three albums and one EP on their Bandcamp page from 2014 to 2019.

An aggressive power trio, Bränd Jord play technical black metal with punk-like exuberance, with shades of Drudkh, Virus, Krallice, Enslaved, Lugubrum, Stilla and early Sólstafir.
