Da Capo biography
Da Capo came from Fürth near Nuremberg the second largest city in Bavaria in the southeast of Germany. The band wasn't a typical Krautrock band as it was more obsessed with the West Coast scene of American psychedelic rock in the vein of Quicksilver Messenger or Love, the latter from which it took its name after the band's legendary album. One of the less progressive acts in the Krautrock world, Da Capo still managed to fortify its blues inspired rock and 60s folk with ample amounts of trippy psychedelia. The band only released one self-titled album in 1972 before disappearing. Due to the rarity of the original vinyl pressing, the album has become quite a desirable for collectors but the album has seen many reissues including a 2005 remastering with bonus tracks.
