Kayanis biography
Kayanis is the pseudonym of Polish multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and lyricist Lubomir Jędrasik.

Born in 1972 in Słupsk, Poland, Kayanis first took guitar classes at the age of 10 and later enrolled in the State Music School of Słupsk where he learned acoustic bass and piano. At the age of 15, he joined an electronic trio called Van Krammer which performed music in the style of Vangelis and Tangerine Dream.

In 1990 he decided to go solo and released his debut album, Oczekiwanie, on cassette in 1994 on the Sound-Pol label. While pursuing his solo career, he also was a member of a local band called Shaxbeer in the 1990s. Kayanis has continued releasing solo albums from 1998 onward, including two, Where Abandoned Pelicans Die (2007) and Transmundane (2015), that feature orchestra and choir.

Kayanis's music is keyboard-dominated and shows influences from electronic music, classical music, new age music, pop music, and symphonic prog.
