Zio Crocifisso biography
The band takes its name from a character of the novel I Malavoglia by the 19th century Italian writer Giovanni Verga.
Also known as Wooden Bell, he is the town's moneylender. Wooden Bell is also the title of their debut album.
It's a kind of supergroup, composed by the keyboardist Paolo SKE BOTTA (Yugen, SKE and Not A Good Sign), the drummer Dario MAGRI (Sho, Yokoano) and the guitarist Matteo SERENELLI (Appetizers). Only on live performances, the lineup is completed by the bassist Fabio MALIZIA (Orbe).
On its website the band mentions King Crimson, Poil, Melvins, Tool, Zu and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum as main influences.
