Jade Emperor biography
Jade Emperor were the international Sino-American collaborative duo of Hong Kong-based musician Wilson Lee and the Tulsa-based Brad Rose. The project's name is a reference to Yudi, the ruler of heaven in Chinese folk religion. Between 2005 and 2006, Lee (who also records as Fathmount and Cold Solemn Rites in the Sun) exchanged tapes with Digitalis Recordings label head Rose (of the North Sea, Ajilvsga and dozens of other projects), remotely constructing what was to be their sole album, 2006's Telegrams for Our Council Oak, released on limited edition CDR via Students of Decay.

Lee and Rose performed a droning psych/kraut folk highly reminiscent of Six Organs of Admittance, Smote and Natural Snow Buildings.
