Kaada & Patton biography
Founded in 2004

This project is a collaboration between singer/musician Mike PATTON, famous for his works with FAITH NO MORE, MR. BUNGLE, TOMAHAWK and FANTOMAS, and little known Norwegian musician John Erik KAADA. Kaada has played in a norwegian theatre-jazz band CHLOROFORM. After CHLOROFORM broke up in 2001, Kaada wrote music for several Norwegian films. Then, in 2001, he recorded his solo effort "Thank You For Your Valuable Time", but didn't release it until 2003 because his original label deleted the album's release. In 2003, Kaada got a record deal with Ipecac, Mike Patton's and Greg Werckman's label. 2004, Kaada collaborated with Patton on Romances. It was released on Ipecac the same year.

Romances, just like any other project with Mike Patton's creative touch, is diverse and original. This album is a blend of rock, avant garde, R&B, and electronica. Song titles were influenced by 1800's french song titles. Some composers who inspired this work include Mahler, Brahms, Chopin, and Liszt. Patton's vocals are amazing as always. All fans of Patton should dig this album.
