Neath biography
NEATH are an Australian progressive death metal band originally formed in 2001 and consists of members Tim Dowdle (guitars),David Lingard (bass) ,Jonathan Moore (drums) and Boyd Potts (vocals,keyboards).

In 2003,after 2 aimless years,NEATH began a heavy rehearsal regimen of their own original material,formulating their sound in the studio rather than through live performance.In 2006 Neath self-released their four song self-produced demo entitled "In Perfect Flaw".The band was then signed to Obsidian records and in 2007 released their first full-length album "The Spiders Sleep".

Touted as "Australia's answer to Opeth",NEATH skilfully work the contrast between crushing heaviness and moody atmosphere, switching between furious death vocals and brilliant clean,ambient passages without sounding disjointed or awkward and the progression between the two styles is very organic and natural.

Highly recommend to fans of this genre of music.
