BILLY MAHOINE is a post rock band formed in 1997 in London. The band began as Gavin Baker (guitar), Howard Monk (drums), Hywell Dinsdale (bass and guitar) and Kevin Penney (bass). The latter 2 were later replaced by Duncan Brown (bass) and Anthony Barratt (guitar). They've released 5 full lengths so far: "The Big Dig" (Too Pure Label, 1999), "What Becomes Before" (Southern Records, 2001), "Dust" (Tritone Records, 2004), "Found" (Oof! Records, 2005) and "Exhale On Mare Street" (Unlabel, 2006). The band is currently working on a new release.

BILLY MAHOINE plays a certain hard to describe post rock with mixes of progressive rock, heavy rock, hardcore punk and folk.
