The Bitters biography
In 2003, drummer Frank KLEPACKI, bassist Vinny MONCADA and guitar player Jeff MURPHY came together from elements of the Las Vegas rock underbelly to form THE BITTERS. Their stated purpose is "to exist in a state of self-indulgent musical freedom". Of course in prog, whose isn't?

Spewing a sort of hard fusion, the band admits influence from Zappa, Rush, Tool, Primus, and the Crims, but as a power trio they are afforded a more direct approach. Aggressive, angular, tough, serious but not grim, raucous, playful and diverse, THE BITTERS make a sprightly addition to Heavy Prog.

They released a live album in 2012, "Live in Vegas" and are in the final phase of mixing a new album in 2015.
