Elevator biography
The Canadian group ELEVATOR originated from a record project of Rick White from group ERIC'S TRIP in 1994. Musicians were gathered for the live performances of a recording, and the group used first name ELEVATOR TO HELL. The core musicians are Rick White (guitar, vocals, drums), Tara White (bass, vocals), Mark Gaudet (drums, guitar, vocals), and also Dallas Good (guitar, vocals) and both Ron Bates and Chris Thompson have participated in playing. Group was first signed to Sub Pop label, and have later released their records either trough their own label Great Beyond Recordings, or other record labels they collaborated with.

ELEVATOR's fuzzy sound relates to the early psychedelic garage rock tones, but is expanded with quite far out tonal experimentations. In their songs they study the sonic styles associated with psychedelic music, escaping the conventional psychedelic rock & roll context towards both progressive and low-fidelity territories. The shades of 1970's post-psychedelic style are present as hollow reverb echo realms, where a willing listener can disappear happily.
