Lask biography
LASK got started in 1981 as an experimental jazz trio around a renowned saxophone player Ulrich P. LASK. Ulrich, Meinolf BAUSCHULTE (drums), and Maggie NICHOLS (voices) made a success in constructing their eccentric world for ECM, a German contemporary jazz label. Their self-titled album 'Lask' (1982) and second (and the last) one 'Lask 2 - Sucht + Ordnung' (1984) could create radical atmosphere, with Ulrich's crazy saxophone and resonant synth, Meinolf's inorganic drumming, and Maggie's percussive voices (her voices were named as maggie nichols upon 'Lask 2' ... very interesting).
