Burgul Torkhaïn biography
BURGUL TORHAÏN formed in 1999 in Amiens, France. They released one single album before splitting in 2004. The band was built around bass player Kristofer LORENT (from YYRKOON) and was further completed with Pat FRESCURA (from LUCRETIA) on guitars and Gilles DELECROIX (from GRONIBARD, KLANG and later on BELENOS) on drums.

The band brings a European interpretation of the American technical death metal from bands such as DEATH and CYNIC, adding elements from classic heavy metal and Eastern tinged folk melodies akin to AMORPHIS (?Tales from a Thousand Lakes? era). The vocals are low and gruff, which strengthens the AMORPHIS impression.

After releasing their sole studio album, the band tried to establishing a stable line-up to tour and further develop their career, but soon disbanded, leaving the 2002 album The Adventures Of Burgul Torkhaïn as their sole testimony.
