PAINTED IN EXILE are a progressive metalcore/deathcore band from Long Island, New York, founded in 2007. The band plays a very schizophrenic mix of music combining everything from progressive metal, indie rock, acoustic rock, hip hop and jazz fusion, all with a very strong backbone in technical death metal and metalcore, yet they are equally at home playing in any style. With their incredibly eclectic and versatile style of metalcore in the vein of BETWEEN THE BURIED & ME or THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and technical prowess akin to THE FACELESS, this very young band stands apart from their peers and showcases a lot of promise while simultaneously demonstrating a level of songwriting maturity that is uncommon is this branch of music.

Painted in Exile have two self-released EPs under their belt, their latest of which, Revitalized, has received much critical acclaim. The band is currently writing material for a full-length album but at this time of writing remains unsigned to any label.
