TASHA-YAR are an outfit from US/North Carolina featuring six members who are linking themselves stylistically to the traditions of space rock. Although they have vocalist Joe Sample aboard their songs are predominantly instrumental as usual. Echoed double guitars and synths give considerable emphasis to cosmic/spheric/krautrock aspects where the sound also evolves quite heavy in the vein of Hawkwind here and there.

TASHA-YAR's discography starts with the album 'The First Landing' in 2010 that includes live as well as studio recordings and offers a bonus DVD on top of it. In 2011 the self-titled and self-released debut followed consisting of songs with improved sound quality and entertaining variety.
