Mindsplit biography
The band has it's humble beginnings in a collaboration between vocalist H.B. ANDERSON and guitarist Mathias HOLM who began their work in a late 80's glam/sleaze rock band THE'N'SIN. The band had the misfortune of being in the midst of the rising Grunge movement which is why they called it a day after only a few years of activity. Fortunately, the duo continued to write music and realized that they shared a passion for intricate storytelling mixed with experimental metal arrangements.

After a hiatus that would last for an entire decade, ANDERSON decided to create MINDSPLIT after he found notes from his great old, old grandfather's, Xerxes ANDERSON's a.k.a. Prof. Xandau 1807 - 1851, therapy sessions. The idea was to make a concept project based on a true story about psychological thoughts and human behaviors by following the information found in the memory notes.

The band's debut album "Charmed Human Art Of Significance" was released in 2010 by Lion Music and is a concept album well worth it's labeling. The listener will be exposed to everything between heavy progressive metal compositions to the simple but effective rock ballads. Recommended for fans of epic storytelling of AYREON and UNWRITTEN PAGES.
