Agnosia biography
AGNOSIA is a progressive metal band from Greece. They were formed in Piraeus in 2003 by Dionysis SOURELIS (guitars) and Manos XANTHAKIS (vocals, guitars). With the addition of Christos KYRKILIS (WASTEFALL) on keyboards, Kostas EXARCHAKOS (CRIMSON FIRE) on drums and Vangelis YALAMAS (FRAGILE VASTNESS) on bass and production, they released their debut 4 track demo, 'The Inner Conflict' in April 2004, which received positive reviews.

2005 saw various line-up changes and the band working for their debut release. The bass position was permanently filled with Julio KOUTSOGEORGIOU (ex-FIRESTORM) and the band found a new home in the Noise Factory Studios; however the recordings of the new album did not start until 2007, and took place in M.I. and Noise Factory Studios. The drums for the album were recorded by Akis GAVALAS (SOUND OF SILENCE), vocals were recorded by Chris MASTORAS and keyboards written and performed by the Pantelis KYRAMARGIOS (both MELISSES). Julio was responsible for sound production, in co-operation with the band's new drummer, Konstantinos, and mastering was performed by Mika JUSSILA at Finnvox studios, Helsinki, Finland (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS, HORIZON'S END). The album was released through Steel Gallery Records in 2009 and is entitled 'Trace Decay'.

The band introduced two new members, Louis (vocals, ex-FATAL MORGANA) and Kimon (keyboards) whilst supporting FATES WARNING in their reunion 'Parallels Live' anniversary show in Thessaloniki Greece in 2010. The band is back in Noise Factory Studios preparing their second full-length album. Their sound can be related to big names of the progressive metal scene such as PAIN OF SALVATION, DREAM THEATER and QUEENSRYCHE.
