Votiva Lux biography
VOTIVA LUX is an Italian Post-Rock group who were originally formed in 1988. Their sound is a mix of post rock, shoegaze and space rock. They used to have a vocalist but later became instrumental. In 1996 after some line-up changes, the group released it's debut album 'Il canto del cigno?' In 2000 came the 'Lindbergh' EP and then in 2002 the album 'Solaris' was released.

The members of the group are: Giulio Sangiraldi (guitars & effects, samples), Gabriele Bufalini (bass, keyboards, programming), Andrea Ghidini (guitars) and Stefano Grassi (drums). In addition there is Andrea Mussi, who plays Moog synthesizer in concert as well as being responsible for the films shown during the band's performances. Influences include SIGUR ROS, PINK FLOYD and RADIOHEAD, amongst other groups.
