Wild Hunt biography
WILD HUNT is an experimental black metal band from Oakland, California. The band was formed in 2004, but a solid lineup was not formed until 2009 with guitarists Greg BRACE and Drew COOK, bassist West LENZ, and drummer/vocalist Harland BURKHART. The band was quiet throughout their early years of existence, but around 2009/2010, intensive writing sessions started and the band's debut album began to form.

The band released their debut album, ''Before the Plane of Angles'', in 2012. The album is a massive work of atmospheric black metal, with labyrinthine song structures and crushing instrumentation. The album has been well-received by critics. The band's style will appeal to fans of AGALLOCH, ENSLAVED, and the Swedish SHINING.
