Edgar (Animo) is a Brussells post-rock band born around 1996 but only containing two more recent EPs in their discography. They were formed collectively by Simon Verwacht, Benoît Buffin, Fabien Ghigny and Frédéric Ameel.

Putting an emphasis on more alt-rock tendencies, Edgar (Animo) is appealing to those looking for post-rock that verges on the more mainstream while still having several influences that are more complex and nonetheless intriguing.

The band has released two EPs, Tendre Savane in 2006 and Mandrove in 2010. They were previously unsigned by Ragtime Production reissued the Mandrove EP in 2012
