Cholo Visceral biography
A young, talented band that has emerged into the underground rock scene of Lima with a vengeance, CHOLO VISCERAL is a Peruvian instrumental ensemble that comprises drummer Joao Orosco, bassist Manuel Villavicencio, guitarists Arturo Quispe and Kevin Lara, saxophonist Max Vega and special FX expert Nagel Díaz. The band creates a powerful mixture of heavy experimental rock and psychedelic free-form rock within a tight progressive framework. There is, indeed, a very prolific psychedelic movement in Lima's underground circles: bands like LIQUIDARLO CELULOIDE, MACONDO, TABLA ESPACIAL and the aforementioned CHOLO VISCERAL have jointly organized psychedelic rock festivals on many occasions, in this way, stimulating a cult audience for this sort of music that seeks to deconstruct and electrify the darker side of the human psyche. Contemporary psychedelic rock is a consistent reality in the non-commercial rock areas of Lima, with CHOLO VISCERAL featured as one of its most astounding manifestations.

Sometime in the second half of the first month of 2013, CHOLO VISCERAL has released its eponymous release on Bandcamp (link: http://cholovisceral.bandcamp.com/album/cholo-visceral) - it is there to be enjoyed freely and genuinely in the Internet, but there are also plans for a physical version of this release.
