Hangedup biography
Canadian duo HANGEDUP was formed by Gen Heistek (viola) and Eric Craven (drums) in 1999, four years after they first time met while playing for Canadian band Sackville. They released their self-titled debut album in May 2001, the sophomore effort "Kicker in Tow" followed in October 2002 and their third CD "Clatter for Control" in April 2005. The duo had a break sometime after that, but reunited again in 2010. Their so far most recent production is "Transit in Venus" from 2012, a collaboration with avant-garde artist Tony Conrad.

Hangedup's brand of post rock, powered by drums and viola, have been compared to the likes of Noxagt and Dirty Three.
