Theta Naught biography
US band THETA NAUGHT was formed in 2002, initially as a trio, and describe themselves as a "collective formed in 2002. We play shows. We record music.". They released their debut album "Something Scientific" in 2003, and their sophomore album "Abacus" followed in 2004. 2006 saw them collaborate with Alex Caldiero on "Sound Weave", and four years later two more albums followed in the shape of "Omnium-Gatherum" and "Naught Christmas". Theta Naught's most recent production is "Sound Mass" from 2012, a split release with the band My Education. Almost 30 different musicians have contributed on the albums released by Theta Naught as of 2013. The current core of the band consists of Darren Corey (drums, theremin), Greg Corey (lap steel), Josh Ogzewalla (guitars) and Ryan Stanfield (bass, saw).

Theta Naught's brand of music has just as often been described as post jazz and experimental jazz as post rock, and draw influences from a wide array of styles and genres. Their earliest albums saw them compared to the likes of Tortoise.
