OPERATION: MILKSNATCH is a fresh new progressive rock quintet from Sacramento. The band released their debut album in 2013 after being active around the underground scene for around 10 years; in their own words, the music on their debut album isn't focused on complex instrumental music but more on melodic songs with pop sensibilities and light hearted or social commentary songwriting along the lines of Frank ZAPPA or even Danny ELFMAN. The songs however have interesting interludes and are overall influenced by the genres like bluegrass, metal and fusion; of which the jazz and lyrics counterpart does make them sound similar to another of their influential artists which is GONG, the fans of which would do alright with checking their at the time only album 'Sadly Tempoary'.
