Zomb biography
ZOMB is a musical group from Troyes fronted by Christine MAFFEIS and Thierry COLLIN; the band started out in 1999 as a lighter jazz rock band inspired by the likes of MAGMA, ZAPPA and KING CRIMSON under the name LA ZOMBIE ET SES BIZONS that released one album 'Herbe De Bizon' in 2003. When a shift in their inspirations and music shifted, the line-up of the band stayed the same but changed their name just to ZOMB to mark the end of that era. Their new direction was presented on the albums that came around 2006; a project called 'Le Peuple Des Songes' ('People Of Dreams') was first released in instrumental version and later in version with vocals delivered by actor and comedian Christian BRENDEL that the band met and befriended on a concert in 2005. For a deeper immersion in the story and darker jazz rock of the album, the listeners are recommended the later of the two versions especially if they speak the language.
