Based in Toronto, Canada, THANTIFAXATH plays a peculiar form of black metal that incorporates influences of tech/thrash bands such as VOIVOD as well as some unusual melody lines into their sound. Signed to Dark Descent Records, the three band members prefer to remain anonymous, even cloaking themselves during live performances. Their self-titled debut EP was released in 2011, followed by their 2014 full-length album ''Sacred White Noise''.

Their music offers variations with ambient passages and textured keyboards coexisting with fast tremolo picked riffs and screamed vocals with skilled drumming and haunting, bizarre guitar melodies. Dissonant progressions combine with grandiose, majestic soundscapes to achieve an intriguing and dark brand of black metal.
