SOLITUDE

Solitude biography
Formed in Kiev, Ukraine in 2012.

Our basic idea was to create music and have fun. During the year, the band had written the major part of music for the first album. However, it was hard to find a keyboard player for non-commercial music, which caused many difficulties and impeded preparation and recording of the material. Finally, a decision was taken to make most part of the record live in a studio with invited musicians on keyboard. The first album mission is complete finally, and the band is currently working on new music and looking for a keyboard player.

We would like to communicate to you an absolute freedom of musical self-expression and to share our inspiration by a wide range of genres, from early psychedelic and jazz to modern progressive rock and avant-metal.

Our first album was conceived as a concept work representing a journey through night dreams and different epochs: there are references to hippies? ideas (Summer 67' and Take off!), fairy and mythological characters (Sleeplessness and Arabian), and chivalry philosophy (Keep Going, Tired Knight...). The keynote here is a person who cannot snap out of the sleep as a result of previous long insomnia (Water and Unfinished Song...). Hopefully, you'll have as much fun listening to it as we had creating it.
