Chiasma biography
CHIASMA is a progressive metal band that was founded in early 2014. Based just west of Indianapolis, Indiana, the band members had prior experience performing together within acts such as THE GUGENHEIM STEAMROLLER and VERUS. On October of 2014 they released their first full length work entitled ''Synthesis'', and have since played numerous live shows in support of the album. Their style of progressive metal is eclectic and technically proficient, featuring a range of styles akin to acts such as Devin TOWNSEND and TO-MERA.
Currently the line-up consists of Derek STEELE on guitars and programming, Ian INMAN on guitars and occasional harsh vocals, Dustin WEDDLE on drums and is credited for performing bass on ''Synthesis'', and Katie THOMPSON on vocals, keyboards and synths.
