Orakle biography
Based in Paris, France, ORAKLE's inception began in 1994 by Pierre PETHE (aka. Clevdh) and Frederic GERVAIS (aka. Achernar), eventually self producing their first EP ''L'ineffable émoi'' in 2002. This laid down the template that the band would further pursue in regards to their sophisticated brand of atmospheric black metal. Featuring vocals in French, the full lineup of the band would release their debut album ''Uni aux cimes'' in 2005, showcasing the band at their most extreme. In 2008 the band would get signed by Holy Records and release their next album ''Tourments & Perdition'' to critical acclaim, featuring a more progressive direction by the band and showcasing more of Frederic's accomplished clean vocals. After touring numerous venues and festivals, the band would further revamp their sound and get signed to Apathia records. In 2015, their third full length ''Eclats'' was released, retaining a black metal aura yet technically deep into progressive metal in sound. From ARCTURUS to MUSE, the scope in style is vast yet the vision remains singular.

The band currently consists of Pierre PETHE on drums, Frederic GERVAIS on bass and vocals, Etienne GONIN and Antoine AUBRY on guitars and Emmanuel ROUSSEAU on keyboards.
