N-1 biography
Founded in Krefeld, Germany in 1998

N-1 is an unbounded session project from Krefeld, Germany, headed by Steven Hein (guitar) and Maziar Yazdkhasti (bass). Since the beginning in 1998 they have recorded more than 50 albums, this supported by a bunch of like-minded musicians over the course.

Their improvised songs are of high quality overall, representing enormous variation, while embracing psychedelic/space, post, avantgarde and jazz rock elements. If one could ever sum up and characterize all the impressions at large, neo krautrock might be the finest label here. Their collection is a treasure trove for sure, dedicated to music fans who are searching for something which is off the beaten path in general.
